Water or Sprinkler Line Break SOP

Policy/Purpose:  In the event that a water line or sprinkler head/line breaks or bursts, very specific procedures need to be followed to ensure the quickest resolution.

BMV Water Line Break Procedures:

1. If a water line breaks, immediately notify the manager on duty, who should notify the Chief Operating Officer/Ownership ASAP
   1. The COO/Owner will alert proper additional parties to include maintenance
2. The water should be cut off based on where the leak is and how big the leak is
   1. The water cut offs for incoming/outgoing water/fluids have to be traced via the leaking pipe to the cut-off which is located in different places based on where the leaking pipe is.
   2. The water cut off for the entire brewpub is shown below.  It is located under the sink in the brewers area and should only be turned off with permission from COO/Ownership.

OFT Water Line Break Procedures:

2. The water cut off for the entire brewpub is shown below.  It is located under the staircase to Kitsbow and should only be turned off with permission from COO/Ownership.

OFT Sprinkler Line Break Procedures:

1. If a sprinkler head breaks or bursts, immediately notify the manager on duty, who should notify the Chief Operating Officer/Ownership ASAP
   1. The COO/Owner will alert proper additional parties to include maintenance
2. The water should be cut off from the FDC cut off which is the water supply to the sprinkler system.  There is a lock that must be cut, before the sprinkler water is cut off which should only be done by maintenance, COO or above, or building owner.  The sprinkler water cut off is located below:
