- Once measurable snowfall has occurred (snow is accumulating on pavement) and the business is still open the GM should work together with the other managers and leaders to shovel a pathway for each area above, and reapply the ice melt/salt as needed.
- If snowfall has fallen overnight, the maintenance technician will be responsible for ensuring that any paved area leading up to or adjacent to the breweries are shoveled and if more ice or snow is projected, to reapply ice melt/salt. This should be done before 9am for all locations. If the breweries are closed for the day (decision by COO), the maintenance technician may not have to come out the day of, but should plan to start early the next day, before any staff arrives by 7am. The following areas should be shoveled at each location:
- BMV: The sidewalk starting at the parking lot and going up to the front entrance, as well as the pavement over to the smoking area. Also, the parking area where we have any pavement striped, in particular by the handicap area.
- OFT: The sidewalk immediately in front of Hillman Beer and leading up to the Catawba entrance, as well as the steps and ramp leading up from the back parking lot.
- MGN: a 10 foot radius from the double door entrance and a clear path to the gate entry by the light
- The maintenance technician/GM/AGM/Sous Chef should all be familiar with the location of ice melt/salt and shovels in each of their locations:
- BMV: Storage container should have a 5 gallon bucket of ice melt/salt WITH scoop, backup bag of ice melt/salt, and shovel.
