Policy/Procedure:  The purpose of this policy is to explain our organization’s policies on romantic workplace relationships. This policy covers relationships between managers and employees, including appropriate and inappropriate workplace relationships and behaviors.

Details:  We understand that workplace relationships do occur and we do not prohibit relationships between employees from different departments or between employees at the same professional level.  We require that managers from the Service Leader Role and above notify their supervisors of any workplace relationship they are involved in.  All employees should behave professionally at all times and refrain from discussing personal matters in the workplace.  Employees should not engage in any behavior that is distracting, disruptive or counter to our company’s values and culture.

All team members involved in a workplace relationship in which one or more parties are managers must read, understand and sign the Hillman Beer Love Contract.

Relationships between managers and direct reports are strictly prohibited.

We expressly prohibit any form of discrimination and harassment in the workplace, and any employee engaging in such behavior will be terminated.
